WISDOM SERIES: YOUR PERSONAL BURNING BUSH.

Your Personal Burning Bush

EXODUS 3:1-6.
In this passage, Moses the servant of God was on his way on that faithful day and suddenly he saw a bush that was set on fire. He certainly did not know the source of the fire but this strange sight had a pulling effect on him. In the long run, Moses had no option but to turn aside towards the fascinating sight because the intensity of the fire was so much, yet, the bush was not burnt or destroyed .God used a divine means to capture the attention of Moses so that he could get his attention. To Everyman or woman who will make positive impact in life, to every individual who will achieved great feats for God in this present generation, as many who are prepared to be mightily used by God to take the gospel of JesusChrist across the continents, it is a necessity that you encounter your own unique burning bush experience.
What is your personal burning bush? Your burning bush represents:
-A personal encounter with the Almighty God.
-The revelation of Gods presence.
-The awesomeness of God power and wisdom
-Gods wisdom and ability to interrupt the normal schedule of an individual.
-A sudden visitation of God unto man.
-A unique way in which God manifests Himself unto an individual.
-A strange encounter which alters the course of your life forever.
-A divine opposition which is intended to usher you into your divine programme.
Now, a similar scenario occurred in the book of Acts 9:1-9.
There, Saul who later became Paul was on his way to Damascus. He was actually on his way to persecute the people of God as usual but on this particular day, a strange event took place. It was a different day entirely. From this particular account, we can deduce the various steps of events , an encounter with  God will:
(1) First knock you down, I.e it will strip you off your pride, it will reveal unto you your  depravity and inadequacy, it will serve as a lesson in the school of obedience, it will teach you how to submit unto the will of God, it will equip you with a virtue called humility.
(2) An encounter with God will lift you up, after you have gone through the harsh process of inner transformation.
(3) An encounter with God will make you unable to stand by your own power and ability.
It will make you reliant on God alone.
It will make you depend on the leading and ability of God.
(4)It will establish you as an Oracle of God.
Just before the prophet Isaiah had a life changing encounter, he was just a palace prophet , his calling was limited and not fulfilling divine mandate. Not only that, immediately that encounter took place in his life, he discovered his depraved level and spiritual inadequacy, he said: "woe is me for I am undone" He suddenly saw his  weaknesses(John 12:24, Prov.6:16-19, Titus 3:1-4, Isaiah 6)  The truth is that until  an individual encounter the Almighty God, life will be meaningless.
